Holiday Match!
Come on out and test your skill against two nefarious holiday villans:
The Grinch and Black Bart!
Stink, Stank, Stunk
You awake to a clatter and rise to see what is the matter...
You find The Grinch (swinger) trying to steal Christmas with his rein-dog, "Max", surrounded by the children of Whoville.
6 Shots, Comstock. (10 Second bonus for shooting the Grinch's two-sizes-too-small heart)
You'll Shoot Your Eye Out
You're Ralphie from "A Christmas Story" and find that Black Bart (swinger) and his gang is trying to steal Christmas and the Hannukka Menorah!
19 Rounds, Comstock. (1 No Shoot)
I don't have diagrams yet, but will try to get one posted soon...
No Classifier this week - just letting off some steam before the holiday rush...

2010 Single Stack Nationals Applications!
A few of the jam-O-matic fan boys, err 1911 shooters, are trying to get a squad together for the 2010 Single Stack Nationals at P.A.S.A. Park in Barry, IL. The slots fill up pretty fast, as the event is limited to the first 360 shooters.
If you're a MISS member and are interested, email me (look on the righthand side) and I'll put you in touch with the 1911 crowd.
They're "aiming" (heh heh) to get the apps collected this coming Thursday at our match.
Have a great weekend!

Bob O. reloads on the move, the gremlins in Dan G's jam-o-matic 1911 do their work and one dork shoots an extra shot, extra hit...
Anyway, it was good post Thanksgiving fun. USPSA has division results...

BELTS!
One of our newer members, Dan G, had a slick inner/outer belt combo that I asked about. Turns out he made it himself and can make other Cordura gear, like messenger bags, if you're interested.
Contact him at http://www.dannygunzpaintball.com
The inner belts have a high density polyethylene stiffener and a mesh covered foam liner so they breath better and offer some padding for long wearing comfort. The outer belts also have a high density polyethylene stiffener. The outside is covered in 1000D cordura to make them very abrasion resistant. On the inner and outer belts the hook and loop goes all the way to the edges of the belt for maximum grip and stability.
The inner belts can either have OD hook or black hook. The outer belt can be just about any color you want. On hand I have solid colors in black, khaki, blaze orange, and OD. I also have some camo fabrics in woodland, multicam, CADPAT, ACU and MARPAT. I also have some green, tan, and black snake skin lying around. If someone wants a different color I can get a hold of just about any type of camo or solid color. I just need the exact waist measurement of where the belt will sit.
The inner belts are $30 and the outer belts are $40. Any belts over 48" add $10.
Last of the 2009 Dates.
We'll be shooting 12/3 and 12/17. (Calendar is updated...)
On 12/3 we'll be running a 8 paper, 8 steel 24 shots Comstock course that'll have some no shoots and the classifier 03-09 "On the Move".
Sorry I don't have a diagram of our first stage...

Zombies to the Rescue!
I think that this is the first time Zombies have ever actually caused an event to be better. (Well I guess they cause movies to be great, but I digress...)
From the beginning:
Tom P., who had just gotten his CRO paperwork finished (CONGRATS!), apparently decided that our little Level 1 club was no longer worth his trouble and ditched us... Trouble is he's our man with the targets!
JUST KIDDING!
His truck broke down and he was left stranded. As were we. No targets meant no classifier and a mad scramble through our messy locker to find something for the restless club members with itchy trigger fingers to shoot...
We cleared out the locker, finding nothing by steel, but at the last minute found our tube of Zombie targets from last year!
Hmmm... They've got upper A/B zones and COM A-zone on 'em...
Hmmm... They've got an outline a bit bigger than a C...
So we found some cardboard backers, ran through the stage we wanted, then setup and did a convincing practice run of CM 99-33!
In two weeks, we'll run CM 99-33 for real and also run a tough 30-round movement course.

End of Season Steel Shoot and BANQUET!!
Last match of the season followed by our GALA BANQUET!!! Match will be a man-on-man steel shoot. Heads up: no power factor, no "box" the gun has to fit inside, just knock the plates down.
Double elimination and a practice/qualifier run so you'll get a minimum of 3 runs at the steel.
Come out and shoot and then celebrate!!!

April Fool's Match.
We ran our April Fool's Match (really, on the 2nd) and it was a lot of fun and challenging:
You picked a card from a bucket. The card was marked either "Z" or "P". If you pulled "Z", you had to shoots the Penguins and shots on Zombies would be considered no-shoots. Ditto, in reverse if you pulled "P".
The Christmas glob on the nose of "Ralph", the bat, just pulled 10 seconds off your raw time. The swinger was activated at the beginning of the stage - you had to pull it with your strong hand.
Oh, and the poppers all had staggered, hidden penguins and zombies on 'em too... If you shot through, you were scored accordingly!
After that we shot steel plates for time with a mandatory reload...
We're shooting three stages on April 16th - a classifier and two additional stages.
