We're not sure what we're going to run for a "warm-up", but we will be running CM 99-19, "Payne's Pain", as a classifier.
Here's someguy shooting it...
UPDATE
We'll be running a 14-rounds course - with lots of no-shoots and a swinger activated by a kick-switch. (The actual layout may vary a bit...)

USPSA Numbers
A lot of you just got USPSA numbers! If you were pending, ping me and I can let you know what your USPSA# now is...
Using Scores Diagnostically
A few folks asked about it tonight - Remember that Hit Factor is just "Points per second". If you're shooting more than 90% of available point, you might consider speeding it up a bit.
Conversely, if you're dropping far under 90% of available points, you're shooting too recklessly and might consider slowing down some.
Remember that points are in the Pts column.
Using the first stage as an example:
There were 10 chances to score a "perfect" 5, thus the maximum points you can accrue is 50.
(10 * 5 points per A zone or per steel). If you shot ~43-46 points, you're probably going at the "right tempo".
If you shot more points than that, you probably want to push faster.
If you shot less points, then you probably want to focus on taking more time...

NISA Organizational Meeting.
Hi folks, as we move into the second half of our season (we've got 1 match left in Jan, 2 in Feb, 3 in March, 2 in April and 2 in May), it is good time to contemplate other venues to shoot at over the summer...
A list of clubs and events are posted at the WIsconsin-ILlinois shooting calendar at http://wiilshoot.blogspot.com
(Feel free to share the link!)
NISA is one of the clubs that is active during the "outdoor season" and they'll be having their annual membership meeting this weekend.

January 20, 2011 Stage
We'll be running classifier CM 08-03, "Six".
Again, the peerless Ben Stoeger running it:
For the next stage, we'll run a modified "Triple Nickel". Since our range is narrow and since 5 second fixed time is tough, we're going to run it Comstock and on two groups of vertically spaced targets and a single target in the middle. We'll still require a mandatory reload sometime after you've started shooting. No concealment because this is USPSA, dammit!
Here's Todd Green, of Pistol-Training.com, running it:
We'll load you up and move you hot to the next box where we'll run some boxed-standards:
Turn and draw, 2 shots.
Draw, 2 shots.
Hands High, 2 shots.

Pine Tree's USPSA Scores
For all those wondering why Pine Tree hasn't submitted scores...
I spoke to them today and when they upgraded to the new version of EzWin score, they had a few issues - so did MISS, if anyone remembers. Additionally, there were some issues with setting authorized score-ers through USPSA.
They're hoping that the results should get in before the 10th...
UPDATE: They submitted the classifiers for December and January today. I don't they submitted the results to USPSA because they make that available on their site. Check the scores ~15th and see if things jive.

January 6th, 2011 Results.
Before you check scores...
Our Quartermaster extraordinaire, Tom P., asked our President, Julie S., if the club could authorize the purchase of some new toys: "Leaners".
"What are 'Leaners'", you ask?
Targets that lean out from behind a no-shoot or cover, then either stay, disappear, or lean quickly to the other side... After movers, they are my favorites! (My least favorite being "drop-turners"...)
On with the show...
Here they are - sorry I didn't get these over lunch.
Some of you with "pending" status, if you've got any questions about how to check your scores/classification on USPSA, let me know...

January 6th, 2011 Stages - THIS IS SPARTA!
As I said before, we're running CM 03-08, "Madness". The second stage is going to be a hose-fest...
20 or 24 (we haven't decided yet) with lots of no-shoots. Looks something like this, but we'll probably have to add boxes to keep from shooting the walls:
