Thanks for a great '10-'11 Season!

Folks, it has been a pleasure to shoot with you this season!

We'll be taking the summer off and kicking off our '11-'12 season on October 6th, 2011 with our "El Presidente" match in honor of Jeff Cooper. Just in case, check back around October 1st to see if everything is on track.

Lost'n'Found
Did anyone find a watch with a metal band at the range yesterday? If so, please contact me and I'll let the person know... The good news is that nobody forget an 5K SVI pistol this time... Update - Watch was found at the range!

MISS at Single Stack Nationals

Jerry G, Bob O, and Ken R all headed down to Barry, IL to shoot the 2011 Single Stack Nationals!

I've heard from a few sources that it was a cold and semi-wet experience - Congrats on finishing!

End of Season Match

Sorry folks - I didn't realize that I took the address of the Foxhole off the site...

Additionally, I've been informed that we've got ourselves a box of bowling pins!

So, the last match of the season will be a "Pins and Pans!" event - clear your pins, then reload and shoot the steel!

End of Year Pizza Party

Our indoor '10-'11 indoor season will draw to a close on May 19th, 2011 with an all-steel versus match, followed by a pizza party at "The Foxhole" - the club will order the pizzas and beer you just have to show up!

Anyway, I always get a few questions as to why we stop shooting for the summer - last years post summarized it well:

I've gotten a few questions as to why we stop shooting in May. The answer is simple:

There are so many outdoor venues running USPSA around here during the summer that we just don't get enough people to make it worthwhile.

Last year I pointed at a few club, but since January (as a New Year's affirmation) I've been compiling events on the WIILSHOOT.COM blog. Check the calendar to find matches - there are SO many opportunities out there, it is amazing!
