I see that 6 people didn't show up that registered? So 6 other people didn't get to shoot last night? I know its a new system and there is a learning curve, buts that's a bummer if that is indeed the case. Maybe we could have a stand-by, waiting group for people that are no-shows or something like that. Just a idea to help get everone who would like to shoot in? I dunno. Have a great weekend everyone. :)

Also, I don't want to just sound like Mr. Whiner here, I would be more than happy and willing to help in any way big or small to make the experience the best it can be for everyone. Lemme know. That's all!

Just to be clear:
-There are 27 slots.
-There were 3 that didn't show up.
But you bring up a good point Bob that came up a lot yesterday: how to get a swap to happen.
The first two people cancelled at ~1 PM. The last one at ~6 PM. There wasn't enough time to put more tickets on sale or handle something.
We'll think about this a bit and figure something out.
Another idea was raised about starting registrations over the weekend - I think we're going to move on that, but I'd like to give this another as is, just to think about it more.
Wow! Holy fast scoring Batman! Was there a reload in there to? Thanks guys for a another great night. Thanks to our r.o.s and our stage designer, Tom.
Gotcha Les, I thought it was 30. I know nothing is always going to be perfect, this seems like a good system. Starting it oveer the weekend sounds like a good idea to me too. I know last minute swaps would be tough, and I don't want to add any work for anyone, I'll do some brainstorming too. Let me know if I can help at all.
When Les announced the new system, I thought he was doing it to eliminate the risk of being turning away at the door for overcapacity. While that is certainly a plus, the best part turned out to be how much smoother things ran. By not having to screw around with paperwork, payment and squadding, we started right on time and the whole night seemed to run like clockwork. I loved having the time for a 3rd stage too!
Thanks to Les, Tom and the ROs for a great event.
Rob
i like the idea of sunday registion
i hope we go to that sooner then later.
We've had a poll running and most people seem to like the system so far. (22-pro, 7-con).
There seem to be a lot of folks calling for registration to happen starting over the weekend, so after next match we'll get that happening.
Additionally, I think I'm thinking about how best to handle swap. Again, we're not going to allow refunds, but if you know you're not going to make it, we'll let you swap out with another...
